Watkins Jr. led East Chicago Central in scoring with 14 points while also collecting 5 rebounds in the Cardinals 56-47 loss to Gary West Side on Thursday night. The 6’1″ unsigned senior got his jump shot working in the second half scoring 12 of his 14 points after the break. He is quick enough to create good separation and explosive enough to rise up and get off clean looks.

He was explosive on his way to the rim, and defensively, while also making several jump shots on the perimeter. Watkins is an intriguing guard for small college coaches to keep an eye on through the rest of this summer.
