An elite two-way point guard who put up points from all three levels, within the offense and off the catch with ease. He lifted along the perimeter as a scoring threat, curling into smooth one-dribble pull-ups, penetrating into the teeth of the defense, or knocking down deep threes off the catch when defenders sagged below the line. When he caught fire, he scored in bunches with quick bursts, needing very few, if any, dribbles to get a clean look. Goodman sprinted around screens with purpose and would often reset or reverse the action to re-engage. He showcased the ability to operate through multiple screen actions, including Iverson cuts that freed him instantly on the wing. Defensively his effort was high-level, fighting to stay attached around ball screens and even recovering when going under with quickness and active contests.
