Maybe the best overall game I’ve seen Johnson have in the regular season, Johnson was active all over the court with elite on ball defense, dribble drives to the rim and passes to cutting teammates for layups and dunks. On a team with a ton of scoring talent, having another guard who takes pride in doing the dirty work on both ends of the court. After going 1/9 from the field in the two district games of the playoffs, it’s nice to see Johnson build a little confidence as a scorer heading into the state tournament.

Johnson was one of the quicker guards in attendance, getting downhill off the dribble and into the paint whenever he wanted. His speed allowed him to push the pace in transition and help his team get easy buckets on the fast break. Combine that with a couple steals and perimeter shots, Johnson was a solid guard performer.
