Nguyen utilized his quickness to consistently get to the nail, often drawing two defenders before whipping passes to spot-up shooters on the wing or cutters working along the baseline. This floor general played with creativity around the basket, using deceptive footwork, hop steps and sudden changes of direction to keep defenders guessing. Nguyen’s acrobatic body control allowed him to adjust in midair, changing his release point and finishing angles to navigate traffic and avoid shot blockers.

Jonah is a physical, quick combo guard that can be a nightmare for opponents looking to comfortably rack up points. He’s locked in on his assignment from the jump and causes turnovers that result in extra points for his team regularly. His lateral movement is excellent and it’s rare to see anyone get past him cutting to the rim. He’s fearless in the lane offensively, finishing through contact and sacrificing his body to win. He’s a wonderful passer off the dribble and consistently set up his teammates with great looks.

Jonah Nguyen mixed crafty playmaking with a willingness to get on the floor. Defensively he disrupted without gambling out of position, and the effort on the glass was noticeable for a smaller guard. Shotmaking looked natural off the catch, and he kept teammates involved with early, clean passes. Hustle and IQ traveled together.
