Stokes is a guy that has been a consistent producer in the State of North Carolina and probably deserved to be ranked before this but we were able to track his play this summer with PSB and in June with Davidson Day where he’s proving himself to be a bonafide next level prospect. Stokes is a really strong rebounder for his size while possessing the ability to exploit mismatches on the offensive end of the floor. He’s too big for guards and too quick with the ball for bigs and that allows him to operate with a ton of freedom on that end of the floor. He’s a very useful player in transition and is just generally more active than most other players on the floor. Keep your eye on Stokes with Davidson Day this year as he continues to make his next level case and could be another riser in the next update.

Stokes is a physical big with a versatile offensive game and a game changing presence on the interior. He’s capable of stepping away from the basket to knock down midrange jumpers, while also showing polished footwork and soft touch around the rim. Inside, he scores with patience and control, using his size effectively in the post and his athleticism to play above the rim. He gets a ton of easy dunks just by being in the right spots and following misses. Defensively, he protects the rim well and alters shots with his length and timing, making him a offensive rebounding threat. His combination of skill, physicality, and interior impact makes him a valuable piece on both ends of the floor.

Stokes is a new face in the Combine Academy rotation to keep an eye on this season in the 2027 class. He’s a wiry prospect at 6-foot-6 who’s shown he can operate at a number of different positions as he continues to make a name for himself. He’s due for a breakout-type season in the class at his position.
