John Slusher John Slusher 6'6" | PF Hough | 2026 State NC is an intriguing name to know from North Carolina’s 2026 Class. He runs with Triple Threat Academy and is a polished shooter and ball-handler, capable of punishing mismatches with his modern-day play style. I would’ve liked to see more of the ball in Slusher’s hands, as he displayed his playmaking abilities with a driving assist and a driving right-hand layup. John also knocked down a left-wing three in a pick-and-pop action. He finished with 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in a loss to the Raptors.

Slusher is a power forward to get to know out of Hough as he moves into No. 162 in the latest market rankings correction. He’s finding his way on the rebounding front as he snagged 4.7 rebounds and put up 5.9 points per game this past season. As he continues his development on the wing, look for his name to grow on the recruiting trail. He’s a prospect for DIII/JUCO/NAIA programs to get on their radar given his size and activity on the interior.

Slusher is a name that has emerged as part of a new look Hough roster this season, averaging 7.4 PPG and 4.7 RPG playing with a lot of experienced seniors in front of him. He’s a wing/forward that rebounds the ball well and shows some intriguing ability to become an around the rim finisher at the college level. Still a prospect on the raw side, but has physical tools and lots of room to grow. Someone to monitor this grassroots season.
