About John

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a 6th grader who is a versatile , strong center/forward who uses size to score inside, set solid screens, rebound, and anchor the defense in the paint.”

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

A composed, tough-minded, energetic and disciplined center/forward who plays with high basketball IQ, prioritizes positioning, communication, and making the right play on both ends of the floor. I bring effort every possession while embracing contact to protect the rim, and sets the tone with hustle and intensity.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I actively participate in Boy Scouts, concert band, and robotics while making the honor roll each trimester and competing in basketball, demonstrating strong time management, teamwork, and commitment across academics, leadership, and athletics.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Participating in basketball, Boy Scouts, and my church has strengthened my leadership, teamwork, and service as I learn to lead others, support my peers, and serve my community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being in 5th gr when my mom was diagnosed with stage three cancer forced me to mature quickly. Facing uncertainty strengthened my mental resilience, while staying active in school and sports helped me build physical and emotional strength. This experience taught me perseverance and shaped the determination I carry today.

What type of college are you looking for?

Once I get to HS I plan to work hard both academically and athletically to attain a scholarship to college for both academics and basketball
