Coverston has grown to around 6’8″ making his life easier when operating on the interior and that much more lethal when operating on the perimeter. Coverston is a willing rebounder at both ends of the floor while displaying high quality touch on the interior with his back to the basket. Coverston can shoot it from the outside off the catch and make defenses pay when attacking closeouts. Coverston is a great connecting piece for this team at both ends of the floor as he never forces the issue offensively or finds himself out of position defensively. He’ll be a next level commodity as he continues to rack up performances like this over the course of the spring/summer.

11/22/25: Tall wing scorer Joel Coverston Joel Coverston Joel Coverston 6'5" | SF Summit | 2027 State TN sent a minor shockwave through middle Tennessee by scoring 26 points in 18 game minutes Tuesday night. Coverston is a guy PrepHoops was early to identify as special. As a sophomore Coverston was clearly agile enough to hang on the wing at the 4A level eventually. What made him standout was his shooting touch. Height + shooting = College options.
