About Jj

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I find great pride in knowing that my strongest skill is on defense. In my personal opinion in basketball, strong defense is the backbone of championship teams. It's about relentless pressure, agile footwork, and seamless teamwork. I excel at anticipating opponents' moves, disrupting passing lanes, and contesting every shot.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a highly motivated high school student with a positive attitude and drive to succeed. I am one of the top high school athletes, a highly skilled basketball player with a strong sense of discipline, a strong work ethic, and performing in high-stress situations.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved with my Vietnamese Church youth group, travel basketball teams (since 9 years old to present), and honour roll student.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am of Southeast Asian descent (Vietnamese). Not many players look like me on the court and the significant challenge I face is proving myself to this sport. I would be honoured to represent my culture and help promote awareness of basketball within my culture. There is a need to increase diversity within this sport because there are many talented people out there with a passion for basketball.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for any college in the USA that will help assist me financially with academic and athletic scholarship. I am looking to major in health sciences (sports therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractic).
