Toby is always going to be a canidate for this list. The junior guard brings it every game and it was no different in the State Championship. His willingness to make extra effort plays, and fight for interior rebounds was automatic, and provided the Mustangs with a spark during their third quater run.

Suprise, suprise, Toby was at it again. The ultimate Pit bull defender, he showed off his skill today, scoring off drives, and hitting outside shots. He brings it every night so his effort was no suprise in an elimination game however, it was his scoring productivity that stood out as he led all scorers with 17 points.

Toby has a chance to make my All – High Motor team by the end of the season. A tough hard nosed guard, he defends with energy and isn’t afraid to stick his nose in to battle for boards or take charges. Every team needs a player like Toby if they plan on being successful. His willingness to defend, and win 50/50 balls will be a key to the success of the Mustangs.

I really loved the grit and toughness that Toby played with. He was very active in Meadow’s full court pressure, getting his hands on a ton of balls, causing deflections and steals. When he wasn’t turning his steals into transition layups, you could find him getting to the hoop on tough slashes to the rim.
