I like the way that Team Excellence plays, and Howard is a prospect who fits in seamlessly with what they have. He plays hard, he competes on both ends, and he’s willing to lay it all out there. He was a defensive menace when we saw him earlier this Spring as he applies ball pressure, he disrupts rhythm with his activity, and he defends without fouling. Howard is a small guard who plays with a chip on his shoulder but embraces defense. He applies pressure and tries to get steals and deflections. He also wants to get into the teeth of the defense and either score or dump it off to an open man. We want to see more of that, where he’s a playmaker and showing he can manipulate defenses with getting inside and taking what the defense is giving him. He makes the watch list and is a player to watch moving forward.
