28p 8a 3r 2s vs Sandy Spring
-In an area loaded with point guard talent in each glass, Wills tends to get overlooked. But he made sure to make a statement in this one, stepping up for an STA team missing a few pieces to make a late run in this matchup with Sandy Spring. Will’s rip and 1-dribble fader from 15 feet is absolutely money in the halfcourt, two such shots got him going in the 1Q before he began attacking the rim. Wills hit a fall-away pull up in the key, scored on a stride step into the floater off glass, swooped in to hit a double clutch layup with the left off the window, and hit a double cross into the one-dribble pull to make it an 8-point game late after his team trailed by 20+. The passing also really stood out in this one as Wills proved that he can throw darts off the bounce with either hand. Thought he did a great job of creating easy looks for his bigs off the bounce, with the best example being a rocket of a one-handed whip pass over the defense to the cutter on the opposite block from well beyond the 3 point line.

24p 3r 2a 1s (9/17 FG) vs Annapolis Area Christian
-The senior floor general showed the full range of scoring skills throughout the game that make him such a difficult cover. Wills uses a low center of gravity to turn the corner and get paint touches or get into pull-up jumpers from the elbow. Whether he is driving to the top of the key from the wings or is navigating around a ballscreen, he makes quick, decisive moves with the basketball and is great at creating airspace for his jumper. His range extends beyond the 3 point line and he reads the helper well to attack off the edge or reject a screen to drill a 3 behind it with ease. The most automatic shot in his arsenal might be the floater though, which he can hit with either hand out to 8 feet. Really intriguing scoring guard to track this season as the vocal leader for a solid St. Albans group

Wills spent most of the summer racking up his point/assist total in every gym he walked in. Selected as an All-star in the Capitol Hoops Summer League, and continued on from there to host very impressive numbers for St. Albans and District AAU. You can chalk him up for a 20-10 game more times than not. Wills knows how to play the game, gets to all his spots on the floor although being a bit undersized. Knockdown shooter off the dribble, screen, or catch. Holds command with the ball and will make shots with consistency if the defense doesn’t play him close. Safe to sum Wills up as a potent scoring double-double threat at the point guard position.
