What was particularly impactful was the guard’s perimeter defense, lockdown at the point of attack versus 1 through 3. His notable strength and quickness in virtually every direction has made him one of the better defensive prospects into the state’s 2024 class.

Jaylen had a great junior year. But what he is showing during this past summer is showing that he will be a true breakout player and someone coaches in Nassau will have to key on. Not only can he drill the three but he is very strong going to the rim. He has a “you can’t stop me “ look on his drive into the lane. A ferocious rebounder especially on the offensive glass. Off the defensive end he can rebound and lead the break.
