If there was a definition of a team-first guy, it would be Jayden Nicholson. A big reason why Vashon pulled away over the second, the combo guard was all over the place on both ends of the floor throughout the second half. Possessing excellent basketball IQ with the ball in his hands, Nicholson can scope out the open man before the defense can even react.

The 6-5 senior guard is still uncommitted but that hasn’t stopped how his senior season is going so far. Nicholson has received offers from Missouri State, SIU-Edwardsville and Southeast Missouri State. He will be a huge threat on the perimeter as he shot 48 percent from beyond the arc as a junior last season leading the Vashon Wolverines to a state championship. Vashon will take on Archbishop Stepinac (New York) in the first game of the 49th Annual Culligan City of Palms Classic on Friday at 2:30 p.m. eastern time.
