One of the top small school players in the state is Canute guard Jaxon Beck and he showed why again on Tuesday night. Canute would bounce back from a loss last week to Merritt by beating up on Frederick, winning 85-64. Beck would lead all scorers with 39 points. He also dished out six assists and grabbed five rebounds. Beck has been a player on our radar for a while now and has performed incredibly well at various Prep Hoops events during the offseason. It’s no surprise that he’s turning out to be one of the top scorers in the state so far this season. At 5-3, Canute is definitely a team to look out for in Class A this season because of the playmaking ability of Beck.
