About Jasiah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a great shooting guard and point guard. I am really good at shooting 3 pointers. My playstyles in basketball include putbacks, off ball screens, handoffs, post ups, pick and roll, isolation, transitions, cuts and spot up shooting. My shooting, dribbling, passing and defense and rebounding have really improved over the years.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very happy person you never can tell when I am sick or not happy because I am always smiling regardless if I am having a bad or good day. Everyday I wake up is a blessing so why not be happy and smiling. God blessed me to see another day here on earth.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a two year starter on my football and basketball teams at Cuero Junior High School. I was selected to attend the All State Game in Dallas for basketball in June 2024 and it was definitely a great experience playing with other players from all over the United States. I have played in the Red and white basketball summer league the last 3 summers in Victoria, Texas.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I foster trust among my teammates by being a good leader, enhancing communication among my teammates, establishing and assessing team goals and inspiring and motivating my teammates. Last but not least making sure they always Keep God first in their lives. Philippians 4:13 “ I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” My favorite Bible verse

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have dyslexia and that has been a significant struggle for me but I have improved with all of my dyslexia classes that have to take in school. I will say having dyslexia doesn’t make you not smart it’s just an obstacle you have to overcome and succeed in academics and be successful in the end.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a D1 university that has a great basketball program and we’re I can get my degree where I can help kids that struggle with dyslexia. I am one of those kids that has dyslexia. I was diagnosed with dyslexia in 3rd grade.
