One of the most dynamic guard athletes in the country, it’s clear why Lopez has high major potential at both football and basketball with his unique blend of quickness, strength, slashing and explosiveness. Lopez did a nice job finishing with his left hand at the rim and has the strength to finish through contact in the paint. Able to push the pace in transition, Lopez is tough to stop once he gets a head of steam going downhill. Florida state fans should be very excited for the potential impact Lopez can provide during both the fall and winter for the Seminoles.

First up we have Jasen Lopez Jasen Lopez 5'10" | CG Chaminade-Madonna | 2026 State FL . The pace setter for the squad. Though 6’0 and 170 lbs, Lopez is a pest defensively and last year averaged 3.2 steals per game. He should be able to affect the game in the same manner this year and lead the break for transition buckets. Lopez also is highly effective on catch and shoot looks from behind the arc hitting at a 46 percent clip last year. If Lopez pushes the tempo, he’ll be able to find more open looks for himself driving to the cup and his teammates as he draws in the defense. Lopez also is coming off averaging 17.7 points last year as well. Getting into his shooting motion a bit quicker can help him make defenders playing him solidly and allowing Lopez more ability to catch, triple-threat, and then decide to drive or shoot.
