Butler, who was a stock riser in our latest rankings update, should be a dominant force this season in the CIAC. An elite athlete with a college ready frame, Butler can impact a game in a variety of ways with his combination of high motor, physicality, and skill. There are few, if any, prospects in the region with his combination of size and athleticism, allowing him to make an impact on the game in a variety of ways. He’s a high level athlete thats capable of punishing the rim in transition and protecting it on the defensive end. He consistently plays hard, aggressively pursues the ball off the rim, and utilizes his athletic gifts to his benefit to grab boards above the rim. He does a great job of crashing the glass on both ends of the floor, rebounding in and out of his area and covering a lot of ground in the process. Wilbur Cross will go as far as he can take them this winter and the CIAC should be on notice.
