Jamil Adelagun Jamil Adelagun 6'2" | CG Katy Paetow | 2027 State TX is a guard from Paetow High School that demonstrated his shot making at the Rice Team Camp. His ball-handling abilities allowed him to capitalize on shots from various spots on the court, showcasing his versatility. Defensively, Jamil’s length and agility made him a presence as a one-on-one defender. His active play often resulted in steals, giving his team an advantage. Additionally, his athleticism enabled him to finish plays above the rim, particularly on fast breaks. He effectively rebounded the ball, creating pressure in transition opportunities against opposing teams as he goes downhill off them.

Jamil Adelagun Jamil Adelagun 6'2" | CG Katy Paetow | 2027 State TX was a three-level threat all game against Houston Westbury Christian as he excelled at getting downhill. When getting downhill he consistently got to the basket where he capitalized on plenty layups and got fouled a couple times while doing so resulting in him getting trips to the free throw line. I was impressed with how well he pushed the pace off of defensive stops as he started many transition opportunities for Katy Paetow. Jamil knocked down a couple perimeter shots off the dribble and catch showing he can score from range. Throughout the game I was impressed with his quick handle and ability to get by defenders willingly.
