About James

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style consists of being a triple threat shooting from mid-range, beyond the arc or attacking the basket. I also take advantage of setting up teammates and creating opportunities. I use my quickness for fast break points and playing tough defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I always remain calm under pressure and am known as an extremely competitive player. I give 100% effort every time I step on the court and play with intensity. I am not afraid to take shots or make plays or take on a leadership role.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in VAASA (Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse).

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have acquired leadership, communication as well as problem solving skills that have translated off the court. In addition, I have learned to work with various styles and personalities.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a balance to excel with both academics and basketball. In addition, I would be looking for a variety of clubs and activities to participate in and a diverse student body.

Wilson, a junior guard out of South Kingstown High School, had 35 points in a tough early season loss to Mt. Hope. Arguably the most well-rounded scorer in the state, Wilson is an athletic and physically advanced guard that shows a great understanding of how to play at different speeds and to get to his scoring spots. He’s a capable perimeter shooter, finishes with touch and creativity around the rim, and shows the ability to make tough shots in the mid-range. He’s also a high level playmaker as an on-ball decision maker.
