-The senior PG stepped into a bigger role this season with a young Bullis group and performed admirably at both ends of the floor as a starter for the Bulldogs. His ability to knock down shots was crucial in providing floor-spacing for his team while his skill development sharpened the handle to make him a more confident downhill driver attacking gaps in the halfcourt. Our scouts loved his scrappy on-ball defense as a pesky POA defender that grew quite capable chasing around shooters in the halfcourt to limit touches and shots throughout the game.

9p 1a (3/5 3P) vs G Prep
-The senior leader for Bullis has enjoyed a pretty strong season as a starter for the Bulldogs. The handle has improved to allow him to get into tighter gaps in the defense to create for teammates on the perimeter and his bigs on the blocks. Defensively, he has been a feisty guard defender adept at tracking shooters by navigating ball screens in the half court. But his trademark skill is the perimeter shooting, and he had three huge 3s in this matchup. Boisi knocked down two 3s early in the 1Q to help the home team build a healthy lead then hit a huge wing 3 to cut the GP lead to 3 with just under 2 mins left in 4Q. His work with a young group of guards has helped to stabilize and buoy a team that is enduring some growing pains with several starters from last year’s team moving on to the college level.

James was a nice constant in a tough battle for Bullis in the closing IAC/MAC game. He mixed up his points nicely, hitting shots from outside after spotting up or making timely cuts to the basket for a quick 2. Kept his head up and found open areas on the floor to exploit both on and off the ball. Very efficient game for James and he ended up leading the team in scoring at the end of the night. Had 13 points and didn’t shoot or miss the ball much.

-Liked the flashes that I saw from the rising senior as he showed off a compact handle, maneuvered through tight gaps in the defense to slice to the rim and score, and hit open C+S perimeter looks. Boisi operated well in the PnR and did a good job of keeping his dribble alive to keep his passing options open throughout the possession. Expect Boisi to break through and earn some minutes this season for a Bulldogs team that will properly operate their point guard position by committee.

James turned in a few nice performances for Bullis over the entirety of the Live Period. Big-time shooter form 3. Scored 15 big points in a tight battle and win over Mt. Zion. This was a versatile game from him, showing that he is a point guard first and will let the gameflow dictate his shot velocity. James made a respectable amount of threes in this game and over the Live Period as a whole. Had some games where he rebounded well, games that highlighted his passing IQ, and always provided the intangibles to help make Bullis stronger. Smart point guard who won’t overstep his role or shrink in big moments. Embraces everything that will come with being a key player for Bullis.
