About Jalen

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m an all-around player with a strong defensive presence and high-level athleticism. As a point guard, I have a high basketball IQ and the ability to get to my spots off the dribble. My vertical gives me an advantage in shooting over defenders and grabbing rebounds against bigger opponents. I’m also a reliable catch-and-shoot threat and take pride in impacting the game on both ends of the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a natural leader with a competitive mindset and a constant drive to win. I embrace every challenge and never back down—I’m always ready to guard the best player on the floor, no matter the position, even big men. I lead by example and bring energy, toughness, and accountability to my team.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Off the court, I’m involved in three organizations that help me grow as a leader and give back to my community: Jack and Jill of America, Youth United, and the Echelons of Excellence Beautillion Club. Through these programs, I’ve developed leadership skills, a heart for service, and a strong sense of responsibility.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will give me a great opportunity to showcase my talent and continue to grow as a player and a person. I value a coaching staff that builds real relationships with their players—not just as coaches, but as mentors and father figures who genuinely care about our development on and off the court.
