Jakevion came out of nowhere to swat fastbreak layups and save his team from giving up two points, putting his explosive leaping ability on full display. He seemed to defy gravity, soaring through the air with an intensity and a relentless pursuit of the ball, chasing his opponents down with a determination that was almost palpable. He seemed to know exactly when to leap, when to extend his arm, and when to make his move. His block was a statement that set a tone.
