About Jake

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I can score at all 3 levels. I work well off pick and rolls and I am explosive on drives and kickouts. I play aggressive defense and I make my teammates better by creating my own gravity on the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I don't care who is guarding me or who I'm guarding. I will win my matchups and I'm not afraid of height or size. I know I can hold my own with anyone.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am rank #1 in my class at Union Grove with a 4.0 GPA. I am in my school's SALT club, which stands for the Student Athlete Leadership Team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am a leader on and off the court. I take pride in my ability to unite my teammates and make them better. I love watching my guys succeed, and when one of us does well, the rest of us will follow.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a basketball player, challenges present themselves at each turn. Whether it's a tight game going into overtime, or a test I stay up all night studying for, challenges are at every turn of life. Each challenge makes me better. Every tight game increases my stamina, and every test makes me smarter and more confident in myself.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that likes to play fast. I'd love to play for a team that pushes the pace and runs in transition.
