Lincoln is one of my biggest stock rising players in the Houston area that I have been watching since his sophomore year. A true leader on both sides of the floor, JQ impacts the stat column in all categories with his tenacious rebounding, playmaking skills in the halfcourt setting, and his ability to score from all three levels. He displays great instincts on defense by blocking shots in the paint and securing crunch time rebounds, limiting the opposing team’s opportunities. Underrated speed in transition allows him to get to the basket through multiple players, often times undeterred by contact.

Jae’qurian Lincoln Jae’qurian Lincoln 6'6" | SF Humble | 2027 State TX stretches the floor with real gravity — including nights where he buries multiple threes off the dribble with a high-arc release that defenses cannot ignore. Vertical explosiveness and length turn him into a lob threat and rim protector in the same lineup that needs his shooting, which is exactly the hybrid forward skill set modern staffs recruit. He can rise into pull-ups, finish above traffic, and still guard multiple spots when Humble needs versatility more than pure spot-up spacing. Offers and rising national attention reflect how clearly that two-way athletic package is translating on film. Lincoln’s perimeter shooting, vertical pop, and multi-spot defensive tools make him a high-upside stretch wing-forward projection.

Lincoln put forth one of the top overall performances during my time in the gym on Saturday. Despite his team coming up short to As Promised, Lincoln put on a show against an opposing four-star wing/forward as he went for 39PTS that included six three’s. His sturdy frame at 6’6″, explosive athleticism around the rim and the competitive intensity that he brings makes him the impactful two-way presence that he was in this contest. He holds just two offers to date from Grambling State and Texas A&M Corpus Christi, but that list should grow quickly based off the intangibles that he brings along with the sound positional size.

Lincoln is one of the best hybrid players in attendance at Space City Collision and he can either take it to the paint against multiple defenders or pull up from jumpers in long range or midrange scenarios. Jae’qurian showcases himself as a versatile player with his ability to handle the ball as a tall guard/wing and this allows him to create space for himself off of smaller defenders and take advantage of perimeter mismatches. He displays defensive prowess by showing good timing with his leaping ability to block shots and secure clutch defensive rebounds.  

Jae is making a big impact for the Humble Wildcats this season and has definitely improved his game from last year as a force on both ends. He blocks shots under the basket with his athleticism and fundamental defense, and he can guard positions 1 through 5. He helps with press breaking and guard duties on offense, but he has the wingspan to shoot over perimeter defenders, and he can drive to the basket and draw fouls. He has Humble in prime position to capture a playoff spot this season and they will continue to look to him to be a leader on both sides of the ball.

Jae’Qurian Lincoln out of Humble High School put on a great performance against Strake Jesuit scoring 22 points out of the total 47 points scored by his team. In those 22 points, Jae’Qurian was able to burry 6 three pointers as he stretched the floor throughout the entire game. Most of these attempts were off the dribble as he sized up his defenders before launching his jump shot, which had a high arc. I’ve been thoroughly impressed by Jae’Qurian’s game since I first watched him play last year. His versatility on both ends makes him a valuable asset, and college coaches who don’t recognize his potential are missing out on a great player.

Lincoln has a wiry frame that allows him to cover ground on both ends of the floor. Offensively, he plays well as a cutter and transition finisher, thriving on energy and activity. Defensively, his length gives him value as a help defender and closeout presence. Lincoln’s game is built on motor and versatility, making him a valuable glue piece.

 Defensively Jae’qurian Lincoln Jae’qurian Lincoln 6'6" | SF Humble | 2027 TX stood out to me with his ability to block shots and defend well at the rim. Offensively he is versatile making plays for himself driving to the basket, making a good percentage of his shots inside the painted area and the ability to stretch the floor shooting from the perimeter. I didn’t hear of Jae’qurian’s name before the OTR Fall Shootout, but he should definitely be on radar’s this upcoming season if he keeps playing at a high level.
