The 6’5” guard instantly proved to be a sharpshooter, setting the tone early by knocking down back-to-back three-pointers from the wings. Ewing showcased a quick, confident release with excellent shot readiness, smoothly stepping into his jumper and punishing the defense for late closeouts. His early shot-making stretched the floor and forced defenders to stay attached, opening up space for the offense to operate more effectively.

Jacobi Ewing Jacobi Ewing South Grand Prairie | 2026 TX ‘s game was truly impressive to me. I was particularly impressed with his performances at the Grind Region Finals with In and Out Elite. Offensively, Jacobi is always in attack mode when he has the ball. His agility allows him to easily blow past defenders, often leading him to finish above or around the basket. When he scores in the post, he has the ability to create opportunities for himself over both shoulders, primarily using his right hand to finish explosively. If he’s stopped in his pursuit of the basket, he can still create mid-range jumpers with space away from his defenders. Defensively, Jacobi is an active defender who uses his physical tools to contribute in the passing lanes and reject shots at the rim. His on-ball defense was also very solid, as he was able to keep up with plenty of ball handlers during his time at the Grind Region Finals.

What’s Next for Jacobi?
Overall Jacobi had a solid summer, and I continued to see his stock rise after the Grind Region Finals. During his senior year at South Grand Prairie High School, he has the opportunity to make even more noise this season, carrying his summer momentum. College coaches looking for an athletic wing who excels in transition and fast-paced play should definitely look for Jacobi’s services. Jacobi was undoubtedly one of the best players I evaluated over the summer, making significant contributions on both ends of the court. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Jacobi on the next level sometime next season!

Jacobi Ewing Jacobi Ewing South Grand Prairie | 2026 TX ‘s athleticism was on full display throughout every game I watched him play using it in productive ways. With the ball in his possession Jacobi was in constant attack mode offensively as he is someone you don’t want to meet at the rim, especially in transition. His explosiveness was impressive, making him a huge threat in driving lanes. With one quick jab or dribble move towards the basket, Jacobi was well on his way to finish offensive possessions. Jacobi can also create shots off the dribble in the mid-range using his 6’5 height to shoot over defenders. In terms of shooting from the perimeter he is capable from that range especially off the catch. Jacobi was one of the most active defenders in the division defensively. He plays the passing lanes well alongside putting pressure on opposing ball handlers. There were moments of Jacobi blocking shots as well displaying great reaction time.
