was a fantastic floor general who controlled the game anytime he had the ball in his hands. His unstealable handles and impeccable ball control allowed him to glide through traffic, break down defenders, and blast by opponents with explosive crossovers. Whether it was navigating pressure or making the right reads, Coleman displayed a genius-level understanding of how to create shots when plays broke down, keeping his team’s offense fluid and effective under any circumstances.

showcased outstanding defensive prowess, sticking to ball handlers like glue by moving his feet and using his body to cut off angles. He wasn’t afraid to apply physical pressure, bumping opponents and making them uncomfortable, which wore down ball handlers over the course of the game. Coleman excelled at keeping the ball near the sideline and backcourt, forcing long passes and rushed shots. His constant pressure led to turnovers, rushed decisions, and ultimately had a significant impact on the game’s outcome. Offensively, Coleman did an excellent job of capitalizing on transition opportunities by pulling up for elbow jumpers. He smartly took advantage of the defense sinking into the paint, showcasing his ability to read the game and make the most of what was given to him.

Coleman consistently looked ahead for scoring opportunities for himself or teammates, using precise decision-making while delivering accurate bounce passes that led directly to points. Coleman’s speed is always a standout attribute, as he becomes a literal blur when operating in the open court. is slowly becoming big time. Always impressive, he lead his team this week against some TOUGH competition and didn’t miss a beep. His IQ is notable, he always knows when to speed the game up or keep it at slow pace. His first step is one of the best in the state for sure, once he’s by you he really locks in on the basket and finished a high percentage of his layups even the tougher ones. He’s hard to guard because once you figure that part out he will pull up for the midrange if you over pursue. He made his presence known in a back and forth game with one of the state’s top EYBL guards at Lewisville iSchool and every time he has the ball I just get a feeling like something good is going to happen. Ja’cobe was also active on defense forcing a bunch of turnovers that lead his team to transition baskets. Athletically he just has it, super bouncy and can change directions on the dime. He performed well this weekend when it mattered and I’m excited to see his growth this year at first year prep Pace Academy.

JL3 16 U has been one of the most dominant teams in Memphis and Coleman made a ton of plays in their opening win of the week. With impressive touch from the mid-range area, Coleman was hitting one and two dribble pull-up jumpers with high efficiency. Also hitting an and-1 floater when he got into the paint off the bounce, Coleman was dangerous when he was attacking a closeout. Making winning plays all over the court like diving for loose balls and tipping passes, JL3 has been clicking all week against top talent and have advanced to the final 4 of the 16 U championship bracket.

This Texas prospect shows an ultra athletic build and abilities from top to bottom, demoralizing teams with his blistering speed and incredible bounce that continues to become more and more explosive. Coleman’s high flying leaping skills make him an excellent scorer at the hoop with the capability to finish easily above the rim, making him a constant transition threat and shot maker in traffic. This kid can really get up and throw it down with two-hands off two-feet.
