Smithey is a strong, hybrid forward with a good frame and quality athleticism. Really flashes that ability in transition with his explosive dunks. Good shooting from distance as well. Will need to continue to work on his lateral agility to cover guards, but still has strong versatility given his size and small town background. Currently does better in the up and down nature of camps and AAU settings. But the right college will see the room to grow and mold him into a productive hybird forward.

Intriguing prospect with his size, athleticism and three point shooting ability. On Saturday night, made his impact in bursts and not consistently. Would have stretches where he knocked down open jumpers, and that would energize him to lock in defensively with blocks and covering guards. His lateral quickness is where he must continue to improve to be a better perimeter defender and have more wiggle with the ball in his hands. Has obvious college level traits that will land him a next level opportunity. Where with proper development and determination he should turn into a difference making “3 and D” style player.

The wing was cleared for takeoff all day at the RUN Showcase. Strong and agile for his size, along with the explosiveness to tear off the rim. When he had a clear lane, it often ended in him punching it home with authority. Shot it well from distance as well, while also being an unselfish passer. Complete performance from a promising athlete who is back in Oklahoma after spending a year at a Texas prep school. Type of Oklahoma prospect that in recent years after a year or two at an Oklahoma or regional JuCo, could potentially be a low major prospect or contributor for a very good D2 program.
