About Jacob

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A versatile forward with a strong post-up game, I finish confidently with either hand. On the perimeter, I'm an explosive slasher who can finish above the rim. I've expanded my range to the three-point line and can knock down open looks. I can push the break off a rebound, finish in transition with a euro step or dunk, or fill the lane. Defensively, I guard inside and contest shots outside.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a calm, focused competitor who plays with intensity but doesn’t need to talk—I let my game speak. I hustle every play, stay composed under pressure, and lead by example. I take pride in doing the little things right and bring energy when it matters—whether it’s a game-winner or big dunk. I get fired up when teammates succeed and always try to lift the whole team. Off the court, I'm chill.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Member of the Parkway South National Honor Society

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through basketball, I’ve developed leadership by learning to lead by example—showing up early, working hard, and staying focused. I’m becoming more vocal, especially heading into my senior year. Teamwork is a big part of my game—I take pride in making the extra pass, communicating on defense, and supporting my teammates. Off the court, I volunteer through National Honor Society service projects.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

During COVID, my club basketball season was canceled, and I home-schooled during my 7th-grade year. When I returned in 8th grade, it took a few games to adjust to the pace, but I found my rhythm and had a strong season. In high school, I compete in the tough Suburban Green Conference, which features several 6'7" to 6'8" PF and Cs. Despite the challenge, I was able to earn First Team All-Conference

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college where I can grow both as a player and a person. I want a program with a strong team culture, a coaching staff that pushes me to improve, and teammates who compete and support each other. Academically, I want a school that challenges me and prepares me for life after basketball. I’m looking for a place where I feel valued, can contribute right away, and continue developing
