About Jacob

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Versatile combo guard/forward who plays with pace and control. Strong ball handler who creates offense off the dribble and consistently attacks the paint. Complete player capable of scoring, facilitating, defending multiple positions, and impacting the game in multiple ways.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a competitive team first player focused on winning at all costs. I can take constructive criticism. Bring high energy every game and make it a priority to uplift and motivate my teammates while holding myself accountable.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve built leadership and teamwork skills by supporting teammates, communicating effectively, and setting the tone with effort and discipline. I take pride in being dependable, coachable, and contributing positively to my team and community and giving back by mentoring younger hoopers and supporting community events.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My grandmothers passing on my birthday has taken a pretty rough toll on me. Before her passing she wanted me to pursue basketball the best that I can.

What type of college are you looking for?

NAIA, D3, D2, D1. Or any school that wants me and I can continue playing basketball

Darby can also be an anchor on defense with his ability to block shots and protect the rim. When perimeter defense broke down, he was able to help keep ball handlers away from the cup with his positioning and length. Jacob also showed us a confident, smooth release as a shooter from beyond the arc.
