Almodovar plays with elite quick-twitch athleticism with advanced footwork and high basketball IQ. His first step was sharp and explosive, giving him the ability to gain immediate separation, but it was his control after the burst that set him apart. He had a knack for planting, stopping on a dime, and redirecting with efficient footwork, whether it was a stride stop into a pull-up, a split-second pivot to keep defenders off balance, or a hesitation into a blow-by. His body control in tight spaces gave him the ability to weave through gaps, play off two feet in the lane, and deliver precise passes while still under control.
