Freeman was a top performer at the Best of the Best, utilizing his speed and quickness to get to the basket and score while also showing some solid touch on his perimeter shooting. The Lake Oswego senior guard is focused on going the NWAC route for school and is a heavy lean towards Chemeketa.

Playing with a new team in the Oregon Magic this past weekend, Jackson simply did his thing. While we’ve grown accustomed to seeing the Lake Oswego senior do most of his damage getting to the hoop, he was totally on fire from three in the game we watched and he was pouring it on for his squad as they finished off an easy win on Saturday. He remains unsigned.

Every time we’ve seen Freeman play this off-season he’s impressed and that was again the case at the Portland Team Camp. The rising senior point guard was pretty much able to get to the basket whenever he wanted to, using his athleticism to show off his advanced layup package around the hoop. There was great balance in his game as he finished with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. (JT)

Jackson showed strong efficiency and control in his play. He consistently found quality looks near the rim and converted at a high rate. Freeman also made the extra pass, displayed a smooth jumper, and handled the ball with confidence. His ability to attack the lane and create scoring opportunities made him a reliable and impactful guard on the floor.

One of the pleasant surprises to us this summer was getting the opportunity to watch Freeman in action. The rising Lake Oswego senior proved himself as a problem for defenders on the court as he was incredibly difficult to contain off the dribble and getting to the basket. The 6-foot-1 lead guard could not only make plays for himself but also kick it out to open shooters as well. With his play both with Lake Oswego and ProSkills, he’s firmly on the radar of small college coaching staffs.

A transfer from Tigard, Freeman fit right into the Lake Oswego system under new coach Tully Wagner and helped lead the Lakers to the post-season after a one-year absence. A good all-around athlete who can really create and get into the lane, the junior averaged 10.6 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.6 steals while exhibiting a good motor on both ends of the floor.
