Sporer won’t be pursuing hoops beyond high school but is still deserving of a shoutout here for his rugged play in a narrow Saturday morning loss to West Chester Henderson (PA). The big man brought great energy and some nice physicality to the floor on both ends, playing through contact for multiple efforts whether fighting for post position, getting into his drop step, or scrapping for extra possessions on the boards. He was a deep reserve last season but looks fit to carve out a real role for a Haddonfield program that’s perennially among the strongest in South Jersey Group 2. A midfielder in lacrosse, Sporer is committed to continue his career at Washington College in Maryland.
