Let us get the position right first. Brewer is a guard-wing, not a traditional lead guard. What he does bring is proven perimeter scoring, size and rebounding. He averaged 23 points and seven rebounds through the opening eight games last season and scored 21 in a win over Westlake. The numbers are loud enough. The next evaluation was quieter: defense, decisions and impacted the game when the shot wasn’t falling. That tells me he is not only a scorer but a complete winning player.

Brewer is the type of player winning teams need. He does not need the ball every possession to make himself valuable. Leave him open and he can make you pay from three, especially when the moment gets big. He cuts with purpose, stays active, and will get involved on the glass. Brewer does the little things that do not always make the highlight reel but helped Alamo Heights make a deep playoff run

Jack Brewer Jack Brewer 6'4" | SG/SF Alamo Heights | 2027 State TX boosted his stock tremendously this summer as a shot-creating bucket getter who consistently strung together combination moves that put defenders on skates, breaking his man down and creating the separation needed to operate comfortably at all three levels. He displayed a knack for pulling up or finishing from anywhere on the floor. His outstanding footwork kept his feet, shoulders, and handle synchronized, allowing him to navigate tight spaces, change directions through traffic, and maintain complete control of the possession.

Jack Brewer Jack Brewer 6'4" | SG/SF Alamo Heights | 2027 State TX continues to separate himself as one of the better perimeter shooters in the 2027 class through his consistency and confidence. He understands how to move without the basketball, creates clean looks with excellent footwork, and stretches defenses every time he steps onto the floor. Brewer also competes defensively and embraces playing within team concepts instead of chasing statistics. His shooting ability and overall feel make him an easy player for coaches to project.

✅ Elite perimeter shooter
✅ Excellent off-ball movement
✅ Team-first mentality

Jack has built a steady reputation as a reliable shot maker who understands how to play within team concepts. As the son of a coach, he absorbs game plans quickly and shows a strong feel for the game. He is athletic—sneaky athletic—and if you lose track of him, he can get to the rack in a hurry and finish with authority. He always seems to find himself in the right spot at the right time. Defensively, he competes, communicates well with teammates, and understands rotations. He is also growing into a leadership role that will be critical for his team this coming season.
