Jace played a vital role for a highly competitive Bishop Seabury squad last season, complementing a deep core of productive players with his ability to space the floor and knock down catch-and-shoot opportunities. His shooting forced defenses to play him — and his teammates — straight up, limiting their ability to over-help or rotate. Hoffman also showed flashes of initiating offense and pushing the tempo in transition, creating quick scoring chances and keeping the pace high. This winter, he’ll step into a much larger role. With the ball in his hands more consistently, he’ll be tasked with creating opportunities for both himself and his teammates. Expect a more complete version of Jace this season — attacking off the dribble, initiating sets, moving efficiently off the ball, and embracing a leadership role for Bishop Seabury.
