Transferring to Charlotte High School, Newson is a major get for the Tarpons and someone who’s certain to aid them on their quest to lift their fifth district title in a row. As a point guard, Newson is an excellent shot creator with speed and a quick twitch that is a nightmare for opposing guards. His excellent touch around the rim and ability to navigate tight spaces in tandem with his strong supporting cast will make Newson a prominent name in the stat sheet, and his team one of the most dangerous in Southwest Florida.
