Ferguson has had an awesome season for Lowell Catholic. He’s a relentless rim attacker and takes contact very well for a skinny, 6-foot-2 guard that’s only a sophomore. He has good quickness and change of speed/direction, and he can make shots from the outside and the mid range as well. Lowell Catholic already had a nice preliminary round win against Saugus, and they’ll look to continue a Cinderella run against Salem.

Ferguson was pretty close to making first team and he’s only a rising sophomore. The 6-foot-2 combo guard was electric with the ball in his hands and showcased a wide array of dribble moves and ways to attack the basket throughout the day. He doesn’t really have an offensive weakness and is able to play on the ball as a creator but also off ball as a shooter and second side attacker. The athleticism and skill are already there, and he could certainly still be growing physically. Sky’s the limit for Furguson, and it’s too early to rule out any levels of college basketball.

Furguson is a really exciting prospect. He’s got a well-rounded offensive game that includes a solid handle, good outside shooting, and some crafty finishes at the rim. Most impressive about the youngin’s game was his transition passing; he has a real knack for seeing the court and making the accurate and effective kick-ahead pass. When he takes it himself, the rising freshman loves his spin move and has some nice slow-step moves in the paint. It’ll be interesting to see how Furguson’s body progresses, but he should definitely get some minutes for Academy of Notre Dame this year.
