Wood does everything on the basketball floor. He rebounds the ball well for his size, he creates offense out of pick and roll and dribble hand off situations, he cuts hard off the ball, he crashes the offensive glass, and he runs the floor—it might be hard to pick out his best skill, but he’s good at lots of things. He seems to always be the missing piece to whatever Brimmer and May needs at the moment? More ball handling? Wood. Extra passing and cutting? Wood. Guarding the PG, the wing, or a forward? Wood. He’s going to be a key player this season for Brimmer and May and will surprise people with his recent improvements on both ends of the floor. Bright future ahead for him. 

Wood is going to burst onto the scene this year for Brimmer and May if I had to guess. With Legentus leaving, they’ll need some more ball handling and scoring, and that’s what the 6-foot-2 sophomore should bring. He’s super strong with the rock and keeps a phenomenal line to the rim, but he can also play with athleticism and explosiveness at the hoop. Wood is under the radar right now, but he has a pathway to a significant role next winter and is only a sophomore, so he has a super bright future ahead.
