. The 6-foot-3 guard has range out to near half court and a super quick trigger, so he’s able to get his shot off consistently despite his lack of size. Even if the rising senior misses his first couple shots, he takes the next few with confidence and still thinks he’s going to make them—and he probably is. He must’ve shot 50% on the weekend on EXTREMELY high volume and didn’t change his facial expression regardless of whether the ball was going in or not. Once defenses overplay Peabody’s three-point shot, the Phillips Andover guard does a good job attacking closeouts and either hitting his floater/pull up or kicking out to shooters/cutters. High D3 schools should be all over him.

Peabody, out of Phillips Avademy Andover in Massachusetts, checks in at #21 among the shooting guards and #94 overall. Peabody is a crafty scorer that seemingly continues to add elements to his offensive game. He has more wiggle off the bounce than you’d expect and is really crafty when he gets into the paint as a scorer. He’s a high level shooter, particularly in catch and shoot situations, but has really impressed with his ability to get into his mid-range game off the bounce, where he’s almost automatic. Defensively, he guards any spot on the perimeter and does a nice job of cleaning up long rebounds in space.

I had never seen Peabody play before yesterday but I walked away very impressed with his feel and IQ. The 6-foot-3 combo guard can play both on and off the ball and is probably a top 2 shooter on PA, but he also does a great job using his strength and misdirection moves to score on smaller guards. He’ll probably play in some pick and roll this season, but he can also space the floor and come off screens. Peabody also has excellent hands on defense and plays his behind off on that end. He should get lots of D3 looks this season.

Peabody is the ideal role player. He strokes it from three, most importantly, and can get his shot off quickly and while on the move. When he doesn’t have an open look, he drives closeouts decisively and makes plays for his teammates once he enters the lane. Peabody also showcased some surprising athleticism on the break at times. All levels of college hoops are on the table but unless he grows vertically in the next few years, he’ll probably slot into the D3 level nicely.

is a floor spacer who brings fire and intensity to the hardwood. His jumper is quick and is highly effective in shooting off the catch around the entire perimeter. Peabody is thin but athletic and moves well with the ball in full-court transition play. While he hasn’t gotten a lot of opportunities to handle the ball on his high school team, there have been flashes of real scoring potential once he moves up the pecking order. Peabody has hit pull-up threes at times and looks smooth doing that while showing a passion that is worth betting on. With added weight and more time with the ball in his hands, he has the potential to be a very talented scorer who would make waves for coaches and programs in time.
