About Hudson

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a team player that not only looks to score, but if there is someone else who has a better shot, I am always looking for them. I believe that it takes a team to win, not just a player. My strengths are 3-point shots, along with 4–5-foot jumpers. I am not afraid to handle the ball, or to box out to get rebounds. Whatever the coach needs from me, I'll do.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a positive person who tries to see the best in every situation. I try to play with respect for everyone on the court including my teammates, opponents, coaches, and refs. If someone falls down, I am the first one to help them up. I believe everyone on the court deserves respect, so you will never find me talking back, gloating, or taking credit for a win.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I also play golf for my school. I am active in my church and perform community services regularly. I work hard in school and take college classes even as a sophomore. I currently have a 4.0 GPA and I believe to be a good athlete, that means I need to be a good person all the way around. I believe in working hard, serving a community, and working as a team.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I currently serve as a youth leader for my church and have for several years. I believe the best way to have good leadership skills to be a good example and work hard. I am not afraid to stand alone, especially when it comes to doing the right thing. I have worked a lot of hours helping my grandpa with the town cemetery as two of my aunts are buried there. I try and do service anytime I can.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have had a really good life. I believe that the more you recognize the good things in your life, the more you will find. I live in a really small community and have been surrounded by family in our family business our whole life. We have had some struggles, but we always seem to find the good that comes from them.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college that has values. I would like to attend a college that has a community atmosphere and has an overall balance with life and sports.
