It didn’t take long for parents of the opposing team to start calling out “shooter” every time Griffin touched the ball. Coming off a breakout season at Union Grove, the lefty guard has the green light to let it fly from beyond the arc, and can put points on the board in a hurry if you give him too much space. In the first six minutes of the game, Griffin had already scored 11 points with three 3’s. He keeps the ball moving out on the perimeter, and then recognizes when he’s able to catch in a pocket of space, quickly getting off a shot before the defense can react. Putting together a nice weekend running with Wolverines AAU.
