About Gianna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay is quick on both ends of the court. I am quick to the bucket to finish a layup off a drive or transition layup and very quick to get back on defense to stop ball or get a blocked shot. I see the floor very well and look for the cutter.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is shy until you know me. I am working daily on my game mentality to grow into an all-around player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of the Junior National Honor Society and All-State middle school track team. My 4X1 team placed at states this past season (my 6th grade year) as I ran the 3rd leg. I am also ranked in other events at a 6th grader including the 200 meter, high and long jump.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a leadership position on both my school team and travel team. I have worked with my school team to understand what teamwork means and how we can help each other. I work with my past dance studio and teach young dancers basic skills for my community hours for JR National Honor Society.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My challenges have been my mentality during games - understanding that it is not on me solely to lead my school team. I have come very far this year and grown as a player significantly - both mentally and physically.

What type of college are you looking for?

D1 - where I can be a part of a team family and be welcomed as the player I am.
