About George

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a 5’10 point guard who likes to initiate the offense. I'm mostly good at getting paint touches while playing off of two feet and making my reads from there. I do like to score but, I also like to get up and guard point guards full court and force turnovers on defense.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am the teammate who always a good person to be around and I’m very funny. I want my teammates to be as passionate as me every game/practice as me. My mentality is to just win by any means possible, to do whatever my team needs in that game, that practice or that drill in order to win and get better. Whether it is on the defensive or offensive end. I’m gonna go at you the whole game/challenge.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

This year alone I've gotten A'b Honor roll 3 times, joined a culinary class, and now I'm playing two instruments.(Clarinet and Piano)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

One leadership quality that I've learned so well was accountability. Being accountable for yourself and your teammates is a great skill every player should have.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As being undersized my whole life I found it difficult for coaches to trust me on the court. Before even knowing my play style coaches usually judge me and I prove them wrong every time.

What type of college are you looking for?

One that has genuine interest in me as a person/player and believes that I will add value to their team. One that will push me out of my comfort zone to allow me to improve myself not only as a basketball player but as a man.
