Gavin Smith, Brookings — Gavin has developed a lot over the years and excels on defense thanks to his length and court IQ. Offensively, he can catch and shoot from anywhere on the arc and has a great way of finding the rim and using his length to get past defenders. -AAU Coach Hosea Kost

Gavin was a hard-working, energy guy that didn’t need the ball to impact the game. He ran the floor hard every time and moved without the ball in the half court. Boxed-out and was putting his nose in the action to come up with the ball for his team. He showed a straightforward offensive game that was more set on results rather than putting on a show. Cut to the hoop to catch and finish, and was finishing efficiently in lane. An underrated jumper and ability to put the ball in the hoop.
