About Gavin

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a very skilled point guard who is a playmaker, scorer and defender who runs all parts of the game my best. My scoring ability comes from on and off the dribble three pointers and attacking and finishing at the rim. I can handle the ball in many situations and can make effective and right passes. I understand and know on ball and off ball defense which I play my hardest and hustle on.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a very strong mentality and personality. I work on my skills individual and at team practices as much as I can. I am a dedicated player with much perseverance. I stay away from negative influences and love to spend time with close ones. I am very kind and humble towards others, helping them become their best.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been involved in a leadership club dedicated to making the world better. No other awards or organizations not related to sports.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned how to become a leader, using what I know and what I'm best at to teach others and become an example for others. I have also learned how to play as a team and that it is not always about me, but also encouraging and building others. I am kind to everyone I meet and always do the right thing. I take opportunities when possible.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, I have had a loss of a family member and had a time of struggle mentally. I got help from family and friends to overcome these challenges along with my realization of the love for basketball which helped cure my struggles and made me a better person all around.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with good academics and a positive community that I can fit in with. A college that is big with basketball and can help me achieve my goals.

Gavin was a true floor stretcher for his team. Has a quick release on his shot with range well beyond the arc. Seems to be a guy who can heat up and put points on the board in a hurry. Drained a number of threes late in his second game of the day.
