Nesmith has a natural flair for the dramatic that usually leads to a highlight-reel play that the explosive 6-foot-5 wing shrugs off as just another day in his world. Nesmith bounces around the floor with a flow and ease of an elite basketball athlete and uses that pop and shiftiness to break defenders down in isolation where he can get to the rim for a dunk or a high-elevation mid-range jumper. He also showed some impressive passing feel and defensive instincts over the weekend.

A Florida native who spent last season with Overtime Elite, Nesmith closed the weekend with a very impressive performance against Team Durant. The recent Vanderbilt commit had 24 points in the game and was able to get into the paint whenever he wanted. He was an efficient finisher and made open shots from the perimeter. Nesmith also showed his ability to be a playmker and play with a high motor as evidenced by his effort on the defensive end and on the glass.

The Florida native is a high level athlete with good size on the wing and a natural scoring ability. He can produce at all three levels, playing with strong pace and feel for the game. Nesmith, who spent last season with Overtime Elite, was the Nightrydas’ leading scorer over the weekend. He consistently put pressure on defenses and delivered when needed.

Nesmith led Nightrydas in scoring in the win I caught over LivOn as he showed the ability to be efficient from 2-point range while also making plays for others on the wing. Nesmith was 9/14 from 2-point range on the day with a couple transition layups, a dunk where he drove right down Broadway and a nice pull-up mid-range jumper. Nesmith’s biggest improvement from the player I’ve seen in the past was his decision making and passing, tossing five assists in this game, more than the four he had in the other two games combined. That playmaking impact allowed Nesmith to be one of the most productive players on the floor during a game where his 3-point shot wasn’t falling. Nesmith did go 7/17 on 3-pointers in the other two contests, making an impact in a different way between the game I saw and the two games I missed. One of the more talented wings in the 2027 class nationally, Nesmith should play a major role for a Nightrydas team that should expect to make a deep run this EYBL season.
