Santana was a monster on the boards at Babson. He has an awesome motor and fantastic athleticism for his size, so he’s able to out-jump wings and bigs for rebounds consistently. His timing and length on defense also help on blocks, which he got a ton of in the one game I saw him play. He looks like he never gets tired and should absolutely find a D3 fit even though he’s still learning how to be effective offensively with the ball in his hands. He can set screens and even shoot it from the outside a bit, but he needs to improve his handle and feel. Regardless, the physical tools are there.

Santana is a freak with scholarship-level athleticism and physical tools. The 6-foot-6 forward has amazing end-to-end speed and the ability to get high above the rim for rebounds and dunks. Defensively, he’s an excellent rim protector as a result of his ridiculous hops, length, and motor. Offensively, he’s a great rim runner and attacks the offensive glass with reckless abandon. I even saw him step out and hit a three, though it didn’t look too consistent. Santana will need to learn to play and develop his feel for the game, but he has scholarship potential because of his size and athleticism and I’m very intrigued by what he could become offensively.

Santana, a member of the 17U HGSL squad, is an athletic wing out of the Millbrook School in New York. At 6’6″, he’s a big wing with long arms and impressive athleticism, that uses his physical gifts to make an impact on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he has the versatility to guard four positions, makes a ton of plays in passing lanes, and can really rebound the basketball when his motor is going. Offensively, he’s at his best in the open floor, does a great job of running wide in transition, and can get downhill off the bounce as a straight line driver. He has some wiggle off the bounce and shows the ability to make tough shots in the mid-range.
