About Finn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a player who takes great pride in my defense and making my teammates better. I will make the extra pass to a teammate for a better and higher percentage shot. I will take what the defense gives me. I have the ability to shoot the three, but also have the ability to drive and finish at the hoop. I have great court vision and find my open teammates for easy baskets.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a mentally strong player with intense focus. I remain calm and even tempered and do not show show negative emotions on the court. I am a highly competitive player and believe I have a high basketball IQ. I love taking on the challenge of defending the opposing teams best player. I watch lots of game film to help prepare for each new team/player I face.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of Valley City High School DECA. I am also a member of the Valley City High School track team with a personal best long jump of 20'7" during my Sophomore year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I believe I lead by example on and off the court. I work hard in the class room and take my studies very serious. I show leadership by arriving early for practices and stay late afterwards. I am the first one to lend a hand to help up a teammate or a player from the opposing team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am not looking for any particular type of college. I would entertain the option to play at any level. I would love to play for a program that is disciplined on both the offensive and defensive sides of the court. I want to play for a coach who has clear expectations for me as a player, but also mentors me as an athlete to become a more skilled player and an overall better person.

-Good ballhandler/nice low crossover

-Changes speeds very well and often, keeps defenders guessing and off balance

-Guarded all positions 1-3, when he 🔒 in on defense he can shut down about anyone

-Scrappy/anticipates very well

-Tough, was on floor for loose balls often

-Competes on the boards even though hes undersized

-Could score 12-15 on any given night
