Expert Analysis

One of the steadiest shooters and players on this list, Harris is a flat out producer. He’s no stranger to producing in big moments either. As one of the highlights of his high school career came in last year’s 5A quarterfinals. Went for 26 points in that win. Which was a strong example of also how he scores efficiently even when ran off the line. The senior has been lighting up the nets since his freshman year at Sapulpa, but over the last few seasons he’s gone from a shooter to a complete guard. And there’s surely more big moments on the horizon for Harris.

In a back and forth first quarter, it was Harris who often had a response for every Crossings bucket. He is a pure shooter. When his feet are set and he has a clean look, the score keeper might as well put three more points on the scoreboard. The gravity he brings to the court was vital in letting his teammates go to work around the rim and in the high post. The senior has shown incredibly growth and poise over his three years at Tulsa Memorial and is a key weapon in their quest for their school’s 11th state title.

Harris has a translatable game as a pure spot up threat. Has fully bought into, and starred into that role over the last two years for 5A powerhouse Memorial. During that time, he has slowly added to his game. Plays strong and in control on drives. With a quality 15-18 footer after being ran off the line. Even occasionally navigating all the way to the line.
Players don’t see the court for the Chargers if they’re not bought in on defense. And Harris is willing to take charges and be tough. A smart prospect off the court, with sky high dreams (literally is already flying planes), he’s set up for long term success.

The sharpshooter understands who is on the court, and plays to his strengths as about as well as anyone in Oklahoma. Peppered in threes throughout the game watched, picking his spots well with smart shooting. Has shooting range that is college ready. Did a bit of damage off the bounce, playing toward his strong frame when getting to the rim. Harris has the type of game that will translate better to the college level than a lot of the other chaotic forms of scoring that dominates grassroots basketball.

One of the elite shooters in the class since he stepped onto the floor as a freshman. Over the last two years has seen him fill in his game around that shooting ability. High IQ prospect, who takes efficient looks from three and mid-range. Has worked hard to maximize his athletic abilities and bought into the defensive minded culture set at Tulsa Memorial. Harris is a bet on production and the type of prospect who should raise a college program’s floor, including every day in practice.

Sharpshooting specialist who peaked as the season progressed for the 5A semifinalist. Will arguably be the best shooter in attendance at the Grind Region Kick Off. Makes open threes look like layups. This season has seen him work to maximize his all around scoring gifts. His last two years at Tulsa Memorial have brought an addition to toughness and better defensive education to his game. Look for Harris to be among the more productive players at the Grind Region Kick off.

Game high 26 points, with 19 of them coming during the second half. Great complete scoring performance, earned trips to the line for 12-15 free throw shooting. Has better pace and control on drives, taking bumps and still finishing. Remains a sharpshooting at heart and hit some big threes. But his improved ability to score when ran off the line and be a go to option; has this Chargers team looking potentially Golden on Saturday.

Harris’ productive junior season (double digit scoring and nearly 50% from three) continued on Saturday. He stepped up in a big environment by consistently hitting big threes throughout the contest. Especially in the first half. Harris runs hard to his spot in transition and generally is best when hunting for threes off the ball. As he’s always ready to shoot and has a pure shooting form. Did a little of damage off the bounce when the Indians did run him off the three point line. Key scoring piece, who has a chance to elevate a tough and defensive minded Chargers squad.

Harris has long been the type of shooter who when his feet are set, it looks like every shot was in. That was still very evident during a big time match up with athletes all over the court on Saturday in Broken Arrow. What’s impressive is the added physicality and confidence he played with to match the pace and aggressiveness of the game flow. Letting it fly it quickly and accurately, then immediately picking up and competing on defense are appealing traits to college coaches. Especially when mixing in Harris’ great grades.
