About Ethan
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
From recent press:
• Regional Buzz: Ethan is recognized by regional scouting outlets like
Alamo City Hoops and RecruitLook Hoops, which have labeled him a
"stud" combo guard for his two-way play and lockdown defensive ability.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am very humble and coachable. I am a team first player. I play for the win not the highlight to build a social media platform. Play well, win, the highlight reel will come.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Yes. I recently won the HOWL award given to the student who most represents leadership, school values, and scholarship.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I like to be a positive influence where ever life takes me. I enjoy mentoring kids and see myself as a natural leader who leads from within the group. I don’t need the title of “the leader or captain” to lead or serve others and bring value to situations on or off the court.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
This year was all very challenging. Given the large number of seniors and my coach’s preference to play them, as a sophomore on Varsity I went from starter to very limited sometimes no minutes at all. While I expected limited minutes, sitting the bench was challenging. It affected everything until I learned to continue doing what I do. Loving the game, working hard in practice staying ready.
What type of college are you looking for?
I would like to play for an NCAA school who values what I bring to the table. Who wants students who play hard and want to be success in class too. I’m looking for a team who will be loyal as I’m not looking to be a school hopper via the portal. I want to settle in a play solid basketball.
